5 benefits I took from mobility
You’d be surprised at how limited an athlete’s mobility often is. Even though I had athleticism playing basketball, my range of motion in some simple stretches is limited. After I finished playing, I took my first hot yoga class, and I loved it! I definitely misjudged this type of physical activity in terms of if it would be a real challenge, but it definitely was. I still am not the best, but the more I have practiced and incorporated movement and mobility into my workout routines, the more I also feel and see the benefits. ( In near future am going to start an athlete mobility series on Insta or YouTube). Neverthless, here are 5 of those benefits:
- Excellent for recovery days – decreases stiff and sore muscles.
- Reduces risk of injuries.
- Potential to increase strength – definitely increase range of motion and flexibility.
- Reduce stress and improve mental clarity – yoga practice emphasizes breathing and meditation.
- Muscle activation.
